The Misanthrope is het filmdebuut van Darkthrone’s vocalist Nocturno Culto.

The Misanthrope is zowel een documentaire als een fictieve film en neemt ons mee naar het mysterieuze hart van Darkthrone, , de Noorse black metal en folk cultuur en de Noorse natuur. De DVD zal ook een bonus CD bevatten met muziek die door Nocturno Culto speciaal voor deze film is gecomponeerd.
