Na zo’n elf jaar heeft de Nederlandse deathmetalformatie Hail of Bullets de handdoek in de ring gegooid. De band bestond uit gerenommeerde muzikanten uit het genre en was sinds 2006 verantwoordelijk voor drie albums met een bezieling die even old school als gewelddadig was. Het rommelde al enkele jaren binnen de band, iets waar het vervangen van Martin van Drunen door Dave Ingram geen kuur voor bleek te zijn.
De verklaring van Hail of Bullets luidt als volgt:
“THE WAR IS OVER… IT IS DONE!
With sadness in our hearts, we hereby inform you that we have decided to pull the plug on Hail of Bullets. The patient had been suffering from illness for a few years already. We thought we had cut out the disease a few years ago, but apparently the tumor was more widespread than we had expected.
There are no immediate plans to resurrect the corpse…
