Opvolger Matt Barlow bij Iced Earth gekend
Stu Block (Into Eternity) wordt de nieuwe zanger van Iced Earth. Robert Kampf, CEO van Century Media, zou een voorzet hebben geplaatst door te verwijzen naar die ene avond in september 2008 toen Into Eternity in het voorprogramma speelde van Iced Earth.
Schaffer verduidelijkt: “ICED EARTH was backstage waiting to go on. We heard one of Stu’s incredible wails. I remember turning to Matt and saying, ‘Damn, that dude has serious range.’”
“After several phone conversations with Stu Block, I asked my manager to e-mail Block several key ICED EARTH songs, with the vocals stripped. Block went into his studio and recorded himself singing, then sent the files back to the team. The result landed Block an intense two days at my studio where we hit it off.”
“I felt a lot of chemistry between us, we knocked out a couple of great original pieces of music in no time. There’s no doubt Stu has an amazing vocal range and a lot of energy, but he also has the touring experience, which is a big plus for our plans of performing in all corners of the world.”

Daarnaast zal Iced Earth voor al deze data een gelimiteerd aantal fans de show laten bijwonen als VIP. Wie een VIP-pakket koopt op de bands website zal naast toegang tot de show ook een VIP meet-and-greet met de band, een gesigneerde tour poster, een limited-edition stickerset, een limited-edition Iced Earth t-shirt en een VIP aandenken krijgen. De verkoop voor de (VIP-)tickets start op 21 maart.
