Gerommel in het cliteterskamp
Na het vertrek van Susan vorig jaar, is er nu wederom een cliteter minder.
Drummer Morris is het dit keer, na zeven jaar fanatiek clittimmeraar te zijn geweest.
Hij zal op Flammen Open Air (11 juli) zijn laatste optreden geven met de band, waarna naar een vervanger gezocht zal worden. Dus kun je op niveau trommelen en ben je voorzien van voldoende clithonger, stuur dan een mailtje naar ivancuijpers (at) hotmail.com met ‘drummer’ als onderwerp.
Morris licht overigens zijn vertrek duidelijk toe:
After seven years of clitgrinding madness I have to break up with “The Guys”.
It was a hard dicision to make but there was no way for me to combine this rockstar life with my let’s say “family life”.
A year and a half ago I made the decision to continue my dad’s business.
Cliteater was growing that fast in the past two years that I had to hit the break more often and that was/is not fair to the rest of the band members.
Cliteater reached very much within the death/grindcore/rock ‘n roll scene but is still moving on further to the top. But I have to be fair to myself as well… going on like this wouldn’t be ok for all of us.
The Cliteaters have a lot of goals to catch and I am God damn sure they will conquer the world but playing gigs/festivals that often isn’t possible for me anymore so the best thing for the band is to hit the gas and drive as fast as possible to the top!
The only way to get there fast is going on with another drummer that is willing to give 200% for the band and I am sure the guys will find one.
I gave more than 200% in the past seven years but now it’s time for me to move on and focus on my new job and be a good husband and father for my wife and kids and give 200% for them so that means at least spending more time with them.
I wish the Cliteaters all the best in the rest of their career and good luck with all that is coming on your path… you morons deserve it!!!
I will play my last Cliteater gig on July 11th on the “In Flammen Open Air” festival in Torgau Germany… be there!!!
Thanks to Ivan, Vedran, Joost (and the ex-Cliteater members Alex and Susan) for the incredible past seven years… I had a great time and a lot of fun thanks to you guys and girl!!
Also I want to thank all grind maniacs all over the world I met during the past seven years I was on the road with Cliteater. I loved going to the max for you! You were amazing as well!!!
