Nieuw Blind Guardian album pas begin 2002
maar het feit dat Hansi binnenkort vader word en ook bezig is met de voorbereidingen voor een nieuw Demons & Wizards album met Jon Shaeffer (Iced Earth) lijkt het er toch op dat alles wat langer gaat duren. Dan is er nog de promotie van het album en ook de cover is nog niet af…
Jon Shaffer zeg in een Interview met KNAC.COM het volgende over het nieuwe Blind
Guardian album:
‘I’ve got a couple tunes [red: voor het nieuwe Demons and Wizards album],
Hansi hasn’t heard them yet. He’s still in the studio with Blind Guardian. We
were together a few weeks ago when I was in Germany, and they’re thinking their
album won’t be out until January or February. We were shooting for mid-2002 to
get started on pre-production, but now I don’t know about that. We’ll have to see
what happens with both bands. But there definitely will be another Demons &
Wizards album.’
Blind Guardian Laat eens te meer zien dat de heren toch net wat meer tijd nodig
hebbben om een cd inelkaar te zetten dan de ‘gemiddelde’ metalband. Volgens Hansi
kostte het meer moeite om de nummers ingespeeld en gemixed te krijgen op de
juiste kwaliteit. Daarnaast valt de productie ook niet te vergelijken met
‘Nightfall in Middle Earth’.
‘Why does that all take so long, you may ask yourself. There is a simple
reason: We did not only compose pure quality, we also have composed a huge piece
of skill in terms of quantity. The stuff requires a tightness higher than the one
we achieved on “NIME” and supplies even more stuff to accomplish. Comparing NIME
with the new album is like comparing a mid distance run with a long distance run.
Recordingwise there still is a little way ahead of us.’
Zware Metalen wenst Hansi en vrouw in iedergeval veel success met de nieuwe metalhead (m/v), en wacht het nieuwe album rustig af.
