Het nieuwe Iced Earth album ‘Horror Show’ is eindelijk af!
Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden is het album gebaseerd op de alom bekende horror iconen van de jaren 40 en 50. De cd bevat 10 tracks:

2. Damien
3. Jack
4. Ghost of Freedom
5. Im-Ho-Tep (Pharoah’s Curse)
6. Jeckyl & Hyde
7. Dragon’s Child
8. Frankenstein
9. Dracula
10. The Phantom Opera Ghost
Jon Shaffer: “The only consideration I had was whether to put ‘Damien’ first, instead of ‘Wolf’. Ultimately, I felt ‘Damien’ was a little too epic to open the album, even though it has what I consider to be the best intro I’ve ever written. Some of the text is so dark, it might have freaked out people who are new to the band. Maybe those listeners will make it to ‘Ghost Of Freedom’ and see there’s another flavor.”
De releasedatum voor Noord Amerika staat gepland voor 26 juni; de 2-cd limited-edition zal een aantal weken later verschijnen. Deze zal naast een cover van Iron Maiden’s “Transylvania” ook een interview met de band bevatten.
Op de vraag of Iced Earth ook nog gaat touren dit jaar had Jon het volgende te zeggen: We’re going to try to do a four month world tour, in one shot, not go out, do Europe, come home for a month, then do a few weeks in the States. We’ll try to knock it all out at once.” E.e.a. is nog niet geheel zeker, gezien het feit dat Jon nog aan het herstellen is van een nogal heftige nekoperatie…
