Man achter intro Number of the Beast overleden

Barry Clayton, de man die de intro van de Iron Maiden-klassieker The Number of the Beast insprak, is overleden. De man werd tachtig jaar.

Tijdens de opnamesessies van The Number of the Beast nodigde de band meermaals de horrorfilmacteur Vincent Price uit om de introtekst in te lezen. Maar volgens Dickinson weigerde Price de opdracht zolang er geen 25000 Engelse pond tegenover stond. Uiteindelijk kwamen de heren terecht bij Clayton, die geestenverhalen voorlas bij Capital Radio.
