Update: Nieuw album Metal Church
Op 29 mei komt A Light in the Dark uit, het nieuwe album van Metal Church. De heavy metal band werkt momenteel in de studio aan de nieuwe songs. Op het album komt ook een nieuwe versie van de klassieker Watch the Children Pray te staan; een eerbetoon aan zanger David Wayne, die vorig jaar overleed.
De huidige Metal Church line-up bestaat uit gitaristen Kurdt Vanderhoof en Jay Reynolds, zanger Ronny Munroe, bassist Steve Unger and nieuwe drummer Jeff Plate.
Over de nieuwe songs vertelt bandleider Kurdt:
“Before our new drummer Jeff Plate joined the band, I would have claimed that the new album will be a traditional heavy metal album through and through. Now I’m not so sure; we may end up experimenting with the odd unusual idea, but we’ll stay within the framework defined by the band’s history. A Light In The Dark will represent what the name Metal Church has been standing for for the last twenty years.”
Zodra het album uit is komt Metal Church naar Europa om het nieuwe materiaal live te spelen.
