Iron Maiden in 2005 weer op Europese tour
Goed, Iron Maiden komt aankomende zomer weer onze kant op om op te
treden in op een aantal grote podia (lees stadions) en als headliner op
festivals. Op zich al leuk nieuws en persoonlijk vermoed ik dat met het
10-jarig bestaan van Graspop dat we ze daar ook wel weer terugzien, maar
opvallend is de volgende opmerking. Aangezien de nieuwe dubbel DVD van
Iron Maiden, The Early Days, de periode van de vier klassiekers
Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast en
Piece of Mind beslaat zal de band haar tour richten op die
releases:
“This tour round Europe will be the biggest we have ever
done in terms of the number of fans we will play to so we want to make
it very special. We are taking these first four albums and tours as the
theme for the production of the show and will be featuring some of the
ideas incorporated in the early days of the band, particularly on
The Beast on the Road Tour and the World Piece Tour.
However everything will be state of the art on the technical side of
screens, lights and PA. This is going to be huge and a unique treat
for our fans… and anyone else!“
Tot nu toe zijn er nog maar drie data bevestigd, in Frankrijk, Zweden
en Finland. Meer bevestigingen worden binnenkort verwacht.
