This evening we received the sad news from our guitar player and main songwriter Mario that he has the intention to leave the band on a very short notice. This news came both as a big surprise as well as a big slap in the face for the rest of the band. Mario has thought long and well about this big step to take but due to an increasing lack of motivation and satisfaction he decided to part ways with the band. Mario his last gig with We, the Gods will be on January 5th 2002 at Xinix in Nieuwendijk (NL) where we will share the stage with our doom brothers of Eria d’Or.
Therefor We, the Gods are currently looking for a new or maybe temporary replacement for Mario. Interested experienced guitar players (preferably living near Rotterdam, NL) please CONTACT us as soon as possible!!
We, the Gods would like to thank Mario for all the efforts he made for the band and his contribution to get We, the Gods as far as we are now. We wish him and his wife Ingrid all the very best in the future.[/i]
